Notes – Emily Jane was born on the 2nd July, 1875 at Muswellbrook, NSW to Jane (nee Graham) and George Budden. Emily came from a large family. Her siblings were George 1871, William 1873, Elizabeth 1877, Margaret 1879, Martha 1882, Davis 1883, Florence 1885, Ada 1887 and Frederick 1890.

Emily Jane Budden married John Alfred Edward Bridge in 1896 at Scone. They had Mary in 1897, Mabel 1900, Jane 1901, Hilton 1904, Clarence 1906, James 1908, Lionel 1911, Kathleen 1913 and Arnold Roy in 1917.

Emily first appears on the electoral rolls in 1914 at Thorton, Inglewood with John as a grazier, then in 1930 at Wave Hill, Goondiwindi with John who is a bailiff and then in 1936 has her by herself. Emily and John moved to Tara in 1934 along with their two sons Clarence and Lionel to join their other son Hilton who was already at Tara.

Her husband John died in 1936 and is buried in Dalby.

Emily has a headstone that reads –In loving memory of our dear mother Emily J BRIDGE 1875 – 1938. At rest.
