Notes – Valma Rose was born to Evelyn Maude (nee White) and Lionel Bridge on 16th October 1937 and was the younger sister to Dulcie Jane Bridge. Her parents had been living in Inglewood when Dulcie was born, they then moved to Miles for a short time before putting down roots in Tara in 1934, prior to the birth of Valma.

Tragically for the family they lost their infant daughter a week before her first birthday. By 1944 the family were living at Rockwell, Tara.

Valma is buried next to her grandmother who died a couple of months before her. The inscription on her little headstone reads – In loving memory of Valma Rose Bridge. Died 8th October, 1938 Aged 1 year.
