Notes – Mary was born in 1885 in Victoria to Margaret and Thomas Hayes. Her mother Margaret died when she was 16 yr old.

Mary Hayes married Thomas Joseph Kenny on 24th October 1907 in Victoria. They had one son in Victoria, Francis in 1908, all thier other children were born in Queensland – Thomas 1911, Joseph 1912, Mary 1913, Kathleen 1916, Patrick 1919 and Bridget (Bid) 1922.

From 1925 to 1937 the census has Mary with Thomas at Undulla Creek and from 1963 with Patrick at Upper Undulla, Tara. Thomas’s obituary says they were in Tara at Gerki (on the Undulla Creek) and Mary lived there for the rest of her life with her son Patrick and possibly Bridget.

Mary lies beside her husband Thomas and they share a headstone, the inscription of which reads – In loving Memory of Thomas Joseph Kenny Died 1st September, 1943 Aged 57 years and Mary Kenny Died 10.1.1979 Aged 95 years.
