Notes – Rose Agnes Schmid was born on October 31, 1908 to parents Rose Clare (nee Orme) and Edward John Schmid. Rose had six siblings that I could find – Mary Theresa 1899, Helena Clare 1902, Robert Edward 1906, William Thomas 1907, Edward Charles Orme 1910 and John Francis 1913. Robert Edward Schmid died in 1907 as a child.

This young girl died from Reumatic fever. She was Trish Sternes great aunt and lived at Allambie. Trish’s Grandfather made her coffin as there wasn’t a undertaker here as such in those days.

Rose has a headstone which reads – In loving Memory of Rose Agnes Schmid, Died 16th June, 1924 aged 15 years.
