Notes – Ethel Daisy was born to Elizabeth Ann (nee Burrowes) and John Moore in January, 1885 at Manoora, South Australia, near Burra.

It is believed her family were involved with the mining industry there. Ethel married Frederick Henry Searcy on the 11th July, 1906 at Kensington, South Australia. She had three children to him, however one died as an infant. Their names were Frederick George 1913, Eleanor Joy 1911 and Lillian 1907.

Electoral Rolls show Ethel and Fred moved to the Tara district in April 1926. During the Second World War, her son Frederick George Searcy enlisted in the Australian Army, however it was discovered he suffered from leucoplakia and so he was placed in the Volunteer Defence Corps. Ethel lived on the family property Cambrai at Kinkabilla near Meandarra until her death.
