Notes – Margaret Yvonne was born to Catherine Barbara (nee Brown) and Sidney Wallace Cotter in 1940 at Goondiwindi. Margaret had siblings of Wallace, Boyd and Viviene. Her father was a sawmill worker and he also worked at the cement works.

Margaret was first registered to go to Queensland Schools in 1946, which was available via the Queensland School Admissions Registers. On the 11th of February, 1954, she enrolled in the Correspondence School.

Margaret Yvonne Cotter married Richard Lars Svensson on July 6, 1957. Richard and Margaret had two children, a boy and a girl. No information on Richard has been found at this time, but it is known that at the time there was a lot of wokers arriving between Tara and Goondiwindi to work on the oil rigs, so perhaps he was involved in that industry.

The attached wedding photo was on Ancestry. Margaret was a very pretty young lady who died decades to young.

Margaret has a headstone which reads – In loving memory of My dear wife and our mother Margaret Yvonne Svensson. Died the 4th December, 1959 Aged 19 years.

NOTE: The council records had her age misregistered as 79 years.
