Notes – Daniel was born to Caroline (nee Shaw) and John Thomas on the 3rd March, 1906. Daniel had siblings of Benjamin 1901, John 1883, Maud 1884, Henry 1887, Lillian 1890, Caroline 1892, Eva, Joseph and William 1909. They were born at Narribri, New South Wales. His father died in Dalby in 1921.

Daniel Thomas married Mildred Eileen Melba Reardon in 1928. He appears on the Tara census records from 1934 to 1954 at Killarney Tara. His mother died and was buried in the Tara Cemetery in 1947.

There is a large story in the newspapers reporting on cattle stealing where the Thomas brothers had cattle butchered and the culprit denyed it of course. Read article below. His daughters Meg married Col Bougoure, and Elaine married Rodney Mason.

Daniel has a headstone which reads – Daniel Thomas. Died 9th March, 1957. Aged 51.  Loved parents of Thelma, Meg, Elaine and Yvonne. Deeply loved and sadly missed.

He shares his grave site with his wife who died in 2004.
