WALTER, John

Name – WALTER, John
Born – 10/06/1879
Died – 4/08/1933
Location – Number 11 Catholic Section
Mother – Sarah Field
Father – Ernest Walter

Notes – John Walter was born in Queensland in 1879 to Sarah (nee Field) and Ernest Walter. He had at least four siblings, Henry 1870, William 1871, George 1875 and Anthony 1881.

He lived in the Meandarra area and he may have lived at Pine Hill and also Klendah, Meandarra. I am not sure if John was married at all. There was Ruby and Rose Walter who were living in the same area.

Census records for John are 1922 John, Selector, Joseph Anton-labourer, Rose and Ruby Mary and Daniel grazier all at Brigalow Creek. The 1930 Census has John Walter as a selector at Brigalow Creek, Meandarra. He was in the Meandarra area from 1915 on.

John left his estate to his nephews, William E and Colin J Walter. Please see the article below.
