WALTON, Alice
Name – WALTON, Alice
Born – 4/07/1914
Died – 19/10/1948
Location – No 67 Presbyterian Section
Mother – Catherine Annie Ball
Father – Henry Orchard
Notes – Alice was the daughter of Catherine Annie (Annie) (nee Ball) and Henry Orchard on the 4th July, 1914 in Inverell, NSW. Her death info has her mother as May but all other sources have it as Annie.
Alice had one brother Samuel, who made it to adulthood, but only by luck. Samuel shot himself when he was 17 years old. He lived on, but generally a shot to the lung does not do much for your health.
Her other siblings nearly all died as children, Emily, Henry, Charles and Mary Ann.
Alice Orchard married Clarence Herbert Bridge on the 21st January, 1933. I am not sure when they divorced, but for people who want more information on that, there is a story on Trove from the Brisbane Truth on the 26th August, 1945.
She then married Michael James Walton on the 30th May, 1946. They had no children that I have found. She died very young.
