YOUNGBERRY, Ellen Kate
Name – YOUNGBERRY, Ellen Kate
Born – 17/09/1915
Died – 17/06/1936
Location – No 23 Anglican Section
Mother – Lillian Kate Taylor (1891)
Father – Gordon Browne (1889)
Notes – Ellen, known as Nell, was born in Warwick, QLD to Lillian and Gordon Browne in 1915. She was one of the older kids in her family. Her siblings were John, Lillian, Vincent, Hazel, Ronald and Norman.
She married Douglas Martin Younberry on the 20th August, 1934. Douglas was a builer who built many houses in Tara, as well as some of the stables at the showground.
They had their only child Morris Martin on the 9th December, 1934. Ellen had a very short life, and she died a horrible way. I will enclose the paper article on her (even though they said her name was Helen and not Ellen, that would annoy anyone). She was fighting to live for a long painful time I would think. Poor young lady.
I have been recently told by Ellens decendents that her son Morris, had some of his own ashes planted with Ellen, when he died, so that she wouldn’t be left in Tara all alone. How nice was that? She was never forgotten by her family.
Ellen has a headstone that reads – Youngberry, Ellen Kate. 17-9-1915 – 15-6-1936. Beloved Mother. Youngberry, Morris Martin. 9-12-1934 – 1-10-2012. Loving son.
