Notes – Donald and his twin sister Nina were born in 1938 to parents Eileen Nina (nee Goddard) and Hilton (Hilly) Claude Doran. Hilton and Eileen were married in Brewarrina in 1935. Their daughter Annette was born in 1936 and she was two-year old when the twins died.

Donald died on the 8th June 1938 followed nine day later by his twin sister Nina on the 17 June 1938.

In 1937 the census has Hilton living at Mendurang. Tara as a grazier. In 1943 the census has both Hilton and Eileen living at Mendurang, Tara. The 1939 Pastoral list has Hilton with 10 Cattle and 1570 sheep. By the 1949 Census the couple have moved to Moree.

Donald is buried to the left of his sister in a separate grave and a metal marker propped up by an old wooden cross reads – Baby Son. Donald Doran. Died 1938. Nina has a heart shaped headstone and the inscription reads – In loving memory of our baby daughter Nina Doran. Died 17th June 1938. R.I.P.
