Notes –  Alice Mary Edwards was born at Jimbour, Western Downs, Queensland to Rose Ann (nee Real) and Richard Edwards. She was one of eleven children born to the couple.

The first marriage recorded for Alice was held on September 1, 1880 when she married John Thomas Hindman. After his death, she then married Daniel David Murphy on August 22, 1883, having nine children to him. Their children were David, Elizabeth, Dennis, Sarah Ann, Margaret May, Isabella Maud, William Thomas, Alice Evelyn and Elsie.

Electroal roll entries for Alice show her in 1922 to 1934 at Whetstone, Inglewood with Daniel Murphy. She stayed at Whetstone until 1938 when she moved to the Eastern Toowoomba area to live with her daughter Isabella. In July 1946 both Alice and Isabella moved to Logeah, Hannaford, with occupations listed as domestic duties. Alice was still at Logeah when she died in 1949.

Alice Murphy is buried next to her daughter Alice Evelyn Rowlings who died only 7 days after her.

Alice Murphy has no headstone to mark her grave.
